Some trasgenic plangtlets of Shatian pummelo, Citrus grandis were obtained by infection with Agrobacterium tumefacients which contained the NPT Ⅱ gene, nos gene, CaMV35s promoter and AP-D gene. the infected tissues and buds were selected on MS medium containing different concentration of Km as necessary. The transformants were selected on the basis of Km resistance(KMr), nopaline electophoretic detection, DNA dot blotting, PCR amplification and Southern hybridization. The results showed that the Antibacterial peptide D gene had been integrated into the genome of transgenic pummelo plant cells.
