An experiemntwas made with karamycin-resistant shoots of Jin Cheng orange (Citrus sinensisOsbeck) obtained from Agrobacterium-mediated infection to investigate the optimum conditions for their rooting. The base of the shootswas treated with 250 mg/L IBAfor 20 min. And then placed onto the filter paper-bridge thatwas soddenedwith a modifiedMS liquid medium supplementedwith 30 g/Lsucrose. After 30 days’culture, the rooting rate of the shoots was up to 78%, with an average root number per shoot and root length of 1.7 and 3.53 cm, respectively. Such a procedure is, therefore, recommended for improving the regeneration rate of transgenic citrus.
