Tender and elder leaf-discs of fingered-citrus (Citrus medicaL. var.sarcodactylis(Noot) Swingle) were transformed withGusgene via biolistics method. The transient expression of Gus genewas used to analyse the transformation rate under different target distance. The results indicated that a higher transformation rate according to transient expression ofGusgene could be acquired from tender leaf-discs bombarded under 7.584 5×106Pa rupture pressure and 6 cm target distance. Transformation rate of elder-leaf was lower. Increasing bombardment times could not improve the transformation rate
